DESCRIPTION:The first of our "Lunch and Learn" series will be Wednesday\, March 21 from noon to 1pm at the J.P Coleman building across from the Courthouse in Ackerman.  We will have special guest speaker Chip Templeton from MSU talk to us about what it takes to get started selling online.  Choctaw County has many artisans and craftsmen who are already making and selling their goods locally and this is their chance to get started selling online.  The staff of the Chamber of Commerce will also be available following this event to help with additional questions.    The Lunch and Learn is usually exclusive for our Chamber of Commerce members as a benefit for being a member\, but this event will be open to the public.  We will have sandwich platters from Subway so participants can just come straight to the event ($5 a plate\, two sandwich halves\, cookie\, and a drink)!  Email us or call 662-285-3778 for questions.

SUMMARY:Skool of Hard Nox Bike Race
DESCRIPTION:For more information: http://www.theskoolofhardnox50.com/drupal/      The course will consist of two loops with the 2nd loop slightly different than the 1st with 1/3 gated forest roads and 2/3 singletrack trail. There are three checkpoints at approximately 12.5\, 25\, and 37.5 miles.  Prizes     There will be cash prizes in all categories.   Both Men’s categories will pay at least 5 deep and Women’s category will pay at least 3 deep with a total prize purse of AT LEAST $1500.   The prize purse amount may be adjusted based on race day attendance.   There will also be 8 or more GREAT Mystery Preems.  There will be no duplication of preems but only one prize per rider.   The categories for these prizes will be listed at the race site.    Registration     Registration for the 2011 Skool of Hard Nox 50 will begin on May 1st\, 2011 at 9:00 AM   Registration Fee:  $45 before 8/28/2011 and $50 late registration until 9/02/2011.   Online Registration will close on 9/02/2011 at 11:00 PM.   On-Site Registration will be offered at the race start/finish pavilion on   Saturday 9/03 from12:00 PM until 6:00 PM.   Cost for On-Site Registration will be $55.   For Online Registration visit  www.usacycling.org    Requirements  All riders must have an Annual USA Cycling License or purchase a One-Day License.
